Operations Engineering Higher National Certificate (Awarded by Edexcel)

This course is designed to combine the requirements of industry with the theoretical background of the principles involved. Options are available which reflect the needs of both students and employers. Learning is through a mixture of lectures, tutorials and task-based learning. The HNC consists of three mandatory units plus optional units that provide for a combined total of 120 credits (where at least 75 credits must be at level 4 or above). Core units are in the following areas: Analytical Methods for Engineers; Engineering Science; Engineering Project. (see options list p2) Extensive use is made of computer modelling and simulation techniques and an emphasis is put on practical applications throughout.
