The course is aimed at anyone with an interest in interactive media and computer design. Media City in Salford Quays has led to increased local demand for multimedia skills, and the Level 3 Diploma is designed to prepare learners for the workplace or for higher levels of study in this area. What is the programme structure? The programme is structured to enable you to develop good practical skills in all aspects of media production, and give you knowledge to maximise your access to the media industry. You will learn in a variety of ways, including workshops, demonstrations and lectures. You will be expected to work as part of a productuion crew in order to produce quality pieces of work, as well as working on your own projects. The Extended Diploma is the equivalent of 3 A levels for university entry. The course comprises 18 units including:- - Understanding the Media Industry - Multimedia Design using Dreamweaver and flash - Digital Graphics & photo-manipulation using Photoshop - Digital Video and effects using Premiere and After Effects - 3D Modelling and Animation using 3D Studio Max - Traditional and Web Animation - Opportunities to work with real industry clients and professionals
