The Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design will provide a broad range of creative opportunities that will enable you to create a lively and diverse portfolio. Below are the subjects you will study with examples of the materials and processes you may use. 2D - drawing and painting (with some printmaking) 3D - making work with clay, plaster, papier mache etc Computer Arts - eg image manipulation using software such as Photoshop Textiles - hand and machine embroidery, batik, dying and printing etc Research - looking at the work of artists and designers Students yet to attain grade C in English and Maths will also benefit from Functional Skills/GCSE lessons in these subjects, which are essential in preparing them for progression onto higher level study and/or employment.
