Video production is a course for people that want to learn how to produce videos. It involves lots of pre-production; team-working, planning, scripting, storyboarding, time management and organization. You will need to be proactive, organized, able to handle a heavy workload and be passionate about making video. This is a Study Programme course which, if successful, leads to the 90 credit qualification over one year and progression to the full 180 credit qualification over 2 years. By completing this course you will learn how to successfully plan, organize and produce a range of different video productions from advertisements, multi-camera TV shows and promotional films to short films and stop motion animations. You will study a variety of different areas of video production, writing critical reports which explain each areas theory before working to complete a video production for each. You’ll learn camera operating skills, management skills,interviewing techniques, video editing skills and software.
