UPDATED 20161002 19:40:34

The world is likely to change more in the next 50 years than it ever has done before. Geographical issues are dominating the newspapers as well as political decision making. Students who decide to take Geography as an A-Level will learn about the causes and effects of geographical issues as well as looking at the management and solution opportunities. As well as covering up to date Geography, it has a strong skills focus, preparing students for the world of work or further education by identifying teamwork, communication, critical and creative thinking and ICT skills. Students will study a range of physical, human and environmental topics as well as carrying out fieldwork. Building on AS Level, students will cover development and globalisation as well as world cities in Human Geography. In Physical Geography, students learn about plate tectonics and associated hazards as well as weather and climate.
