The course covers a variety of experiences exploring a range of two and three-dimensional media, processes and techniques. At A-Level, is it is more challenging that AS level. Relevant images, artefacts and resources relating to a range of art, craft and design, from the past and from recent times, including European and non-European examples, will be explored, integral to the investigating and making process. Responses to these examples must be shown through practical and critical activities, which demonstrate understanding of different styles, genres and traditions. Students will explore drawing using a variety of methods and media on a variety of scales. Students are required to work in at least two of the following areas of art, craft and design: Fine Art, Graphic Design, Textiles, Three-Dimensional Design or Photography.
