This course is regarded as a progression from Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2. The intensive programme offers the opportunity to develop and extend skills in beauty therapy for a selection of massage based skills, providing the knowledge, skills and understanding required to gain employment within the industry. This is a practical based course with the emphasis on gaining practical skills in body, face and scalp massages. The course will consist of not only in - College training, but also home case study and portfolio work. Throughout this qualification, the learner will monitor procedures to safely control work operations and contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities. The course is continuously assessed by both practical and written assignments as well as externally written end of unit tests to demonstrate competence.
