This course is for learners who want a hands-on opportunity to improve their picture taking skills using a Digital SLR camera. This is a follow up from the intermediate Digital Photo course, so learners must have a good knowledge of Photography and of their camera. During the course learners will explore techniques for creating better photographs and approach a range of different subject more creatively and to an advanced level. Topics covered will include creative use of composition, fully exploring manual controls, an introduction to RAW file processing, using HDR, learning to use the video function, archiving images, print presentation and Photoshop CS5 techniques to a more advanced level. Learners will be encouraged to critically analyse their photographs and practice outside classroom time.
