This programme provides a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the construction and built environment sector and also offers particular specialist emphasis through the choice of specialist units. Modules studied: Design Principles and Application for Construction and the Built Environment Science and Materials for Construction and the Built Environment Group Project in the Construction Industry Health, Safety and Welfare for Construction and the Built Environment Applied Mathematics for Construction and the Built Environment Building Services Design, Installation and Maintenance in Construction Environmental Impact of Construction Computer-aided Design for Construction Learning Environment Students will, on average receive twelve to fifteen hours contact time per week through a series of seminars, tutorials and workshops. Personal study also forms an integral part of the course.
