The motor vehicle aspects of this course will be taught in the college's workshops and technical classrooms. All students following this course will need to also take a Maths and English course unless they have a GCSE at Grade c or above.The course runs in college for 2-3 days per week.

Name: Level 2 Certificate Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Qualification title: Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Students on this course will sit a total of six City and Guilds GOLA 'Online' examinations and take vehicle and workshop based assessments. Function skills are assessed by examination. Students progressing form the Certificate in Automotive Maintenance and Repair will carry forward units gained on that course, these will be accredited towards the full Diploma course.During the first term, the practical work carries out will be of a training nature.
