Apprenticeships are practical hands on programmes designed to provide you with relevant, practical training, which will enable you to progress within your chosen industry. As as apprentice you will be paid a minimum of £2.68 an hour if you are under 19 or over 19 and still in the first year of your apprenticeship programme. You will be employed between 30 and 40 hours a week. Chances are that you have already heard of social media. It is one of the fastest growing advertising and marketing tools that businesses have at their disposal. Many companies now have whole social media and digital marketing teams, who are hired to, amongst other things, increase the company's online presence on sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Because social media is constantly evolving, and is still very new in business terms, companys are very keen to find young people to fill digital marketing positions, as they are the most clued in when it comes to new developments.
