Fly Fishing: Fly Tying for Beginners How will this course help me? Practical introduction to Fly Tying aimed at novices. Who is the course for? The course is for anyone who wants to understand the basics of Fly Tying and Fly Dressing & feel more confident about going out to fish What can I expect to learn? The sessions will include: Initial assessment Fishing Tackle Knots Bug Hunting Casting Basic Fly Tying Field trip. How will I learn? There will be a course induction, initial assessment. There will be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practise at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You will be able to practise on your own outside of the sessions. What will I need to provide? Basic equipment will be supplied, but students will get advice if they wish to purchase own tackle. Will there be any other costs? (e.g. materials, books, registration with a professional body, etc.) All of the costs of this course are covered in the advertised course fee. What can I do next?
