Spanish Improvers Who is the course for? The course is designed for people who have successfully completed a Beginners course (or similar). What can I expect to learn? You will learn to Take part in a simple conversation and express opinions Understand the main points and some detail from a spoken passage made up of familiar language in simple sentences Understand the main points and some of the detail from short written texts in familiar contexts Write a short text on a familiar topic, adapting language already learnt using simple sentences. The course will cover: Greetings / Personal information Shopping / Food and drink Directions / Travel / Accommodation. A variety of communicative activities will be used such as: role play, games and listening to audio files. How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practise at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practise in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Bring pen and paper. Will there be any other costs? (e.g. materials, books, registration with a professional body, etc.) You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. All of the costs of this course are covered in the advertised course fee.
