Flowers for All Occasions How will this course help me? To develop knowledge and skills to create imaginative and economical arrangements using a variety of materials to their best advantage. Who is the course for? Beginners to the subject and those with some experience. Learners are given the support they require for their individual development. What can I expect to Learn? Awareness of colour, shape, texture and style Balance and design The use of a variety of bases appropriate to designs The use of appropriate accessories Tutor demonstration and learner practice with group discussion and evaluation How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Flowers, silk or fresh, foliage and oasis are required for weekly practical work. Costs will vary according to individual choice of materials used. Your tutor will advise. Will there be any other costs? You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning.
