Art – Drawing & Painting with Watercolours How will this course help me? This course will support you in developing your skills, techniques and confidence in the use of watercolour. Who is the course for? This course is for beginners or if you have some experience. You will be given the support you require for your individual development. What can I expect to Learn? Develop your drawing skills Develop skills in composition, preparation and planning for finished pieces Develop skills in colour and its uses in watercolour Techniques and application of water colour Health and safety aspects of this subject area Develop an awareness of other artists within this subject area How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Bring any art materials you may already have. Basic course materials are available at the centre for the first session if required. Will there be any other costs? You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. Your tutor will advise on any future purchases you may wish to buy related to the course. What can I do next?
