Do you work with individuals who have dementia as part of your day to day work or do you want to learn more about how to support and care for individuals who have dementia? If so, this is the course for you and it can also help improve your employment prospects. You cover areas such as personcentred care, the influence of positive communication methods, issues around the use of medication for those with dementia and the importance of offering appropriate activities. Students must be 18 or over to enrol. This course is delivered via distance learning and will take between 13 and 16 weeks to complete.
