This course is the recognised qualification for people working in the Childcare sector with children aged 05 years (with a working knowledge of 57 year olds). It will cover the skills required by an Early Years Practitioner. You must be 18 or over to enrol with at least one year's current experience working with children and/or have an existing relevant Level 2 qualification. You will need to have GCSEs in maths and English grade AC and you must be volunteering or be employed for a minimum of 14 hours per week in a childcare setting at the start of, and for the duration of, this course as you will be assessed in the workplace. In addition we are required to obtain a reference from your employer prior to you starting the course.This course will help you improve your career prospects and enable you to work in a variety of childcare settings. You may wish to progress on to the Leadership for Children's Care, Learning & Development Level 5 Diploma.
