Success on this course allows you to work in a supervised capacity as an 'assistant licensed to practise'. Develop practical skills and abilities in preparation for work by studying children's growth and development, health issues, activities for children's play and professional practice. You spend much of your time working on assignments based on realistic workplace situations. Plus, for two days each week during term time, you gain vital work experience in a relevant setting, for example, in a private day nursery and a primary school. Please note, you need to purchase a College polo shirt (approx £11) and may wish to purchase a College hoodie (approx £17).
