This is a very practical course that provides many opportunities for instrumental development, playing in bands, rehearsing and gigging. This course will help you to understand music and music theory plus will teach you skills in: • Rehearsal techniques for musicians • Planning and creating a music product • Singing • Working as a musical ensemble • Solo musical performance • Exploring the music profession English and Maths English and maths qualifications are a requirement for most jobs and it is important that you are able to demonstrate your ability in these areas. If you do not already have a grade C or above in GCSE English and maths you will automatically undertake further study in these subjects as part of your study programme.
