Do you want to work in IT or Business? This course will prepare you with skills for employment or progression to further study in these fields You will learn a range of IT skills to support businesses. You will learn about the hardware and software in a computer system. You will learn how to use IT to produce information both financial and reporting to help in the decision making process within businesses. For those wishing to go on to an apprenticeship there will be employability skills training and an opportunity for work experience with help in applying for placements. For those wishing to progress to study at a higher level there will be opportunities to study at level 3 to help prepare for your progression. Communicating using IT Learn to use a variety of ways to communicate. This will include verbally, in writing and also using email and other social networking tools. Working in IT and Business Learn about the job roles within IT and investigate how they provide a service to business. Computer systems Understand the range of hardware and software to meet user needs for a computer system. Be able to connect hardware and configure a system for an end user. Spreadsheet modelling Learn how to create a spreadsheet model to aid decision making in businesses.
