• You will study the following mandatory units: • Health, safety and welfare in construction • Principles of building construction, information and communication • Building solid walling, isolated and attached piers • Interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures • Construct cavity walling forming masonry structures • You will complete 60 hours of work placement which will give you valuable work place experience. • A full tutorial programme to improve your employability skills and support you through your course. English and Maths English and maths qualifications are a requirement for most jobs and it is important that you are able to demonstrate your ability in these areas. If you do not already have a grade C or above in GCSE English and maths you will automatically undertake further study in these subjects as part of your study programme.
