Over the three years you will study the following modules: developing business skills business finance international travel and tourism development managing the service encounter entrepreneurship personal and professional development (including placement) legal environment responsible and cultural travel and tourism management managing research and information human resource management management techniques A five-month industrial placement period during the course gives you first-hand experience of working in the industry. Our students visit a wide range of establishments throughout the world, or arrange their own placements closer to home. There are opportunities to attend study tours abroad – most recently to Disneyland Paris – as well as an annual calendar of local and national visits designed to enhance your studies. We have strong links with local, national and international companies such as Servisair, Thomas Cook, East Midlands Airport and Manchester Airport, the National Trust and Centreparcs. All of our tutors have excellent, in-depth knowledge from working in the industry themselves.
