Throughout the duration of the course you can expect hands-on learning to ensure you master all the required techniques, as well as theory-based modules to equip you with the knowledge and understanding you'll need to succeed in this field. As well as an introduction to the industry as a whole, you will also be given in depth training in cutting; setting; blow-drying; colouring; perming; health and safety in the workplace, customer service, reception skills, and general salon duties. Delivered by qualified and experienced hair stylists, this course focuses on your practical development as well as all the related theory. Please note: for NVQ routes you will require a minimum two days per week work placement.
