You'll learn about various aspects of animal care during the course including: feeding, animal health, behaviour and handling, animal biology and breeding, as well as an overview of land-based industries. The course also includes an important work experience element to it, with a 150-hour work placement necessary to complete the course. This invaluable on-the-job experience will enable you to put your skills into practice and will help you to understand first-hand about the industry and what's involved. The College has excellent links with animal organisations such as Stonebridge City Farm, the RSPCA and the Cats Protection, which means you will have the opportunity to go on visits and trips to see animal care professionals in action. Whatever your chosen career path, ncn's experienced, friendly staff will help you to reach your goals and achieve your full potential.
