The course will develop your existing skills and experience and enhance your understanding of the business environment. It is assumed that you'll already have a good grounding in the subject. You may choose to specialise in your area of interest, to some degree, through research and assessments within certain modules. The course is practical to prepare you for employment, and is rooted in an awareness of the practice of business management. This is underpinned by an understanding of the central contemporary business theories that will inform your understanding of the business world and your role in it. You'll study the following topics: academic research skills business enterprise management business ethics strategic business decision-making dissertation business in the economic environment global marketing (The modules listed above may be subject to slight change.) What you cover on the course will be enhanced by visits from guest speakers and trips to see first-hand how theory is applied to real-life situations in industry.
