Training at the first purpose-built Civil Engineering Academy in the country, you will be well placed to progress your studies at a campus that allows for specialist training in construction, engineering, highways and road maintenance. This course has a practical approach, offering a range of units to get you fully ready for working in construction. Studying units such as; plumbing, brickwork, carpentry, joinery, painting and decorating, wall and floor tiling and plastering, you will get a feel for the trade that you want to progress in to. Coupled with theory including health and safety, you will be fully equipped to progress into roles in the construction industry. The college is also known for its students success in competitions, including; construction apprentice Michael Cassidy coming third in the Association of Colleges Student of the Year Award and Construction Diploma student, Samuel Baxter coming third in the Junior category of the national CITB Guild of Bricklayers competition 2014.
