This practical workshop is suitable for the home grower or the professional that looks after and cares for fruit trees, and will look at preparing your fruit trees for Autumn and Winter. You will learn how to make pruning cuts in the correct fashion that will ensure that your pruning has the desired effect rather than risking the health of the bush or tree and exposing it to diseases and weaknesses. Knowing the correct time of year to prune is key to optimum fruit growth, as well as plant health in general, however, knowing how to, where to and what to cut is of paramount importance. This workshop alongside the Orchard Care and Maintenance Workshop will show the home grower how to look after their fruit trees and bushes effectively.
