Access courses are designed as a stepping stone to enable motivated, enthusiastic people to progress on to Higher Education. This course is ideal for those who want to re-train or re-direct their lives into Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Marine Engineering, Aeronautic Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, Astrophysics, Robotics, and many other science related university courses. This course has been designed specifically to meet the requirements of universities, who increasingly demand a substantial physics and mathematics content in order to enable progression onto an engineering, physics or mathematics related degree. There is a very high level of academic and personal support throughout the course, which can help if you need to combine study with part-time employment and family commitments. Help and support We strive to timetable lectures, wherever possible, between the hours of 9:30am and 3pm to fit in with family commitments. We also support you through the university application process with tutorials. These are designed to offer guidance and support throughout your course. We do however recommend checking the entry requirements for your course at your preferred university
