The Level One - Diploma/Certificate in Vocational Studies is designed to introduce learners to a variety of sectors and the opportunities within them. By allowing the exploration of skills, knowledge and understanding, they encourage learners to develop greater confidence in their studies and gain a better sense of direction for their future careers. They can then progress to further study. This rolling programme can also be studied at entry level three. Core units - these are mandatory and include: Career progression Self-assessment You will choose from a range of vocational areas, including: Art and performing arts Caring for children Construction Engineering IT and business Public services Sports and active leisure Travel and tourism You will also study/complete: English and mathematics Work experience
