E762 - The course covers the following topics. Mandatory units: Budgeting Financial Statements Financial Performance Internal Control and Accounting Systems Students are required to complete 2 optional units from: Credit Management Personal Tax Business Tax Auditing For details regarding which optional units are available, please contact the Specific Course Information Contact. The course can be studied either on day release (1 day per week) or evenings only (2 evenings per week) for 1 year. Assessment is by externally set computer based formal and informal tests and a project, all of which are set by the AAT. This qualification is accepted by some universities as an entry on to an Accounting Degree programme. Alternatively students may wish to consider progressing on to studying with a Chartered Accounting body. After successfully completing this level students are eligible to progress to the qualifications of one of the sponsoring bodies such as ACCA and CIMA to become an accountant.
