Who's the course for? People who wish to start a career in the civil engineering or construction industries and progress to a supervisory and management positions, or to carry on training via college or university to obtain higher qualifications. Course aims and benefits: -The course has been designed in close consultation with industry and is offered as part of the Apprenticeship programme. It aims to prepare apprentices to become responsible and skilled workers in the industry. The training is designed to give apprentices a sound working knowledge of a wide variety of industry skills that will prepare them for further career progression. Further mathematics in construction, civil engineering and building services engineering. Construction in civil engineeringYear 1 & 2: 31 Weeks (NCC East) Year 3: The remaining part of the apprenticeship is spent on-site with the employer gaining work experience with assessment for the NVQ Level 2 Construction Award, carried out by NCC.
