Develop knowledge & understanding of the theory and practice of sports massage therapy including anatomy & physiology, nutrition, plus applying Sports Mssasage methods to non-pathological tissue.sports injuries & the healing process. It is desirable to have some previous level 2 knowledge in fitness, health or anatomy and physiology before starting the course. It is essential to have achieved a level of education equivalent to 5 GSCE's grades a-c.It is essential to hold a 6-8 hours first aid qualification to complete the course. On successful completion, the learner will be able to work unsupervised as a sports massage practitioner on clients with uninjured tissue. A separate Massage course will be required to become a Massage Therapist.Pre course interview/induction is required.
