The Foundation Degree seeks through a multidisciplinary appraisal of theory, critical enquiry and reflective engagement within a primary School Setting to offer students an interdisciplinary systhesis affording a firm platform for further professional education and personal development. This course is for students who are already working in the field of education, such as teaching and learning assistants, youth and community wokers, learning mentors, counsellors and trainers to allow them to expand their understanding of education as well as personal and social growth across a range of social contexts. The student will study the following modules over the 2 years:Personal Professional Development;Educational issues and Practice;Understanding behaviour;A balanced Curriculum;Language of Science and ICT;Numeracy and Literacy in Primary Education and Qualitative Educational research in theory and practice
