This is a practical introduction to hairdressing which aims to give insight into the main job roles and the types of career opportunities available in the industry. This course is suitable for learners who are interested in following a career in hairdressing. This course consists of six units and is achieved through assessment and training. The course covers Assisting hair stylists Shampooing and conditioning the hair and scalp Reception duties Removing colours from the hair Neutralising hair Health and safety regulationsIf you are 16-18, you will also study functional skills in English. The program is assessed by a range of different methods such assignments, independent written assessments, and on-going practical assessments in a realistic working environment. You are expected to demonstrate 100% competency in all assessments. Some self-study is expected.
