If you are interested in sound recording, creating musical performances using computer technology and learning about the technological development of music then this is the course for you. Music technology is a practical subject with lots of opportunities for students to develop their work first hand. Students have access to excellent facilities allowing them to produce fantastic pieces. The course is likely to be split into 4 different sections. Sequencing –To reproduce commercial track using industry standard equipment (logic). Recording – To use the recording studio and state of the art equipment to record a multi-tracked piece. Students have the opportunity to record and produce recording of their own songs. Creative Arrangement - To make a sequenced arrangement of a song. Listening and Analysing - A listening examination containing elements of music theory, recording and production techniques and historical context of the development of music technology.
