This study programme is designed to meet the changing circumstances within the health and social care sectors. You will acquire transferable knowledge and skills whilst gaining vocational experience. You will undertake work placements throughout the programme, completing up to 100 hours in a variety of settings over the year. The programme contains a mixture of different modules giving you a broad understanding of health and social care. The programme offers you a qualification in health and social care that is equivalent to one A level, alongside this you will also develop your English and Maths skills, something which is essential for progression on to further studies or in to employment. It is an initial level 3 step into health and social care that can form a basis for progression to undergraduate studies relating to a range of careers or into a work environment.
