Prior knowledge/skills required: This is intended for students studying the Italian language from Lower Intermediate and upwards Course description: Learning through media (movies, music etc) is one of the best ways to learn a new language. You will improve your listening and comprehension skills, helping you to learn and practise the Italian language as spoken by Italians everyday. We will be using a short Italian film clip ( taken from The Consequences of Love, directed by Paolo Sorrentino) to introduce a wider vocabulary of the language in its everyday usage which you would not necessarily encounter from a language book. Analysing the film extract and practising through games and role plays makes a very enjoyable learning experience. Units/topics covered: Italian film culture and a wider vocabulary
