This qualification aims to: - develop knowledge of the different forms of dementia and gain an appreciation of taking a person-centered approach to dementia care and support. Introduces issues surrounding equality, diversity and inclusion. Raises awareness of the differing communication needs and abilities of people with dementia. Learners will also develop a greater understanding of the benefits of facilitating or providing activities to individuals with dementia.
