HAIRDRESSING AND BEAUTY THERAPY - INTRODUCTION

This course offers a sound introduction to the exciting and prosperous careers in hairdressing and beauty therapy. You will gain knowledge and learn new techniques and skills in a variety of basic hairdressing services. The course is suitable for school leavers who would like a career in hairdressing. You may study the following * Shampoo and conditioning * Hair Plaiting * Skin care * Hand care * Introduction to the hair and beauty sector * Presenting a professional image * Styling women's hair * Basic make-up application * Nail art application * Basic manicure * Basic pedicure * Create a hair and beauty image * Health and safety * Compulsory work placement All LMC students will receive tutorial support and take a programme of Functional Skills including maths and English.
