The Foundation Degree in Early Years at Kensington and Chelsea College is run in collaboration with Kingston University at Level 4 and Level 5. This course combines academic study with work based learning. All students attend college for one day between 3 pm and 9.30 pm on a Thursday. To apply for the course you must meet the following criteria: You will have an appropriate Level 3 qualification such as the Diploma in Child Care and Education or Early Years, NNEB, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You must be employed in an Early Years setting for at least 16 hours a week. Course work and assignments will require you to be working at a level where you are fully involved with curriculum planning, supporting Special Educational Needs, working with parents and all aspects of Early Years Care and Education. You will have at least 2 years post qualifying experience in a relevant early years setting.
