The two coursework units of the AS course focus on the Internet. In Unit 1, students research and evaluate online services and the impact they have had on our lives, as well as the digital divide that has consequently opened up. They also study the digital economy, in Unit 2, specifically investigating transactional websites and how they function. Unit 3 is a practical examination that focuses on spreadsheet modelling.
