GCSE Maths - Fast Paced

UPDATED 20150701 09:00:58

Our courses are designed to develop skills and knowledge in maths and the chance to gain an A*-C grade GCSE. We do offer alternative paces: less fast courses for learners who may have some fear of maths; are less comfortable and confident with some topics. Faster courses are for more confident and experienced maths learners who are comfortable with a wider range of topics. Topics for both levels include number applications, handling data, probability, algebra, graphs, geometry, perimeter, areas, volumes, constructions. Learners aspiring and aiming for Grades A* to B will study these in more detail at higher level, along with surds, trigonometry and other applications. The learner's journey will be as follows: an induction and skills review period followed by learning assessed by one or two qualifications. We encourage all learners to take the higher paper as their final assessment - however for some learners a Foundation paper may be more appropriate and this would still be a possibility. Please contact the college to register on a pre-course assessment session before enrolling to ensure that Maths GCSE is the right course for you.
