This Level 3 Diploma is divided equally by studying the underpinning knowledge as well as the techniques behind effective practice in the classroom developing you as a competent and confident teaching assistant.The course is comprised of 15 units of work which are all part of the National Occupational Standards for Teaching Assistants including: communication and positive relationships supporting learning activities promoting positive behavior and child and young person development. You will put your knowledge into practice spending at least 2 days per week in a classroom setting either through a paid or voluntary placement. Work is assessed through written assignment as well as performance assessment in the workplace. Upon completion you will be able to find employment or alternatively consider further study.
