This is a substantial vocational qualification which has been specifically designed and will develop knowledge skills and understanding to prepare learners for employment as a junior hairdresser/stylist. Learners will have their hairdressing skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment. This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively including: Health and Safety Client Consultation Shampoo and Conditioning Hair Working in The hair Industry Cut Women's Hair Colour and Lighten Hair and the Art of Dressing Hair. These units are all mandatory. There will also be optional units to complete.This course is delivered at both our main campus in Paignton and our Newton Abbot Skills Academy in Newton Abbot.Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a level 1 qualification in hairdressing and/or substantial relevant commercial experience.Learners who complete this qualification may progress onto a level 3 qualification in hairdressing.
