The course teaches Hair & Makeup techniques to enable you to perform your own salon services. Level 2 Diploma in Hair & Media Makeup is made up of 13 units including: Photographic Makeup Face painting Nail art Body art Dressing hair Cutting women's hair Colouring hair and Health & Safety in the salon.There is no final examination but you will be continuously assessed using a range of methods; observation of practical work oral questions assignments online tests and portfolio evidence to demonstrate understanding. You will be required to undertake independent study outside of the taught sessions & practice your skills. You are required to wear a uniform for practical classes purchase a kit and text book register with the awarding body and purchase an assessment logbook.Students may progress to Level 3 Diploma in Makeup Artistry or Hairdressing at South Devon College or a position within industry.
