AS Level: 2 practical products inspired by fashion and design of the 19th/20th Century. This Portfolio of work will include design ideas, research, and technical information. The written exam includes theory of textiles including fibres and fabrics, materials and components, industrial links, use of smart and technical fibres, and Product analysis. A2 Level: One major project will be produced throughout the year demonstrating a high level of making and manipulation skills, research and technical data. Theory includes detailed knowledge of fibres and fabrics, their application, properties and characteristics, construction and new technologies.
