English (General English Summer School)

Our well-established Summer School offers you an interesting and helpful study programme with an additional choice of cultural, social and sporting activities at a small extra cost. You will have the opportunity to: Improve your language skills Get to know the area and its culture Relax and enjoy yourself in a friendly, English speaking, international environment Make new friends from all over the world. The Summer School offers you: 15 hours of tuition per week (09.15-10.45 and 11.00-12.30, Monday to Friday) and use of our Self-access Centre. The opportunity tojoin for a minimum oftwo weeks on any Monday Classes at different levels, from Elementary to Advanced(please note we cannot accept beginners unless there are sufficient numbers: a minimum of10) Well-qualified and experienced teachers Grammar and vocabulary sessions Reading, listening, writing and speaking skills work The use of the latest text books, teaching materials and software. In the afternoons, if you wish, you may use resources such as computers, videos and satellite TV in our Self-access Centre, or use anotherLearning ResourceCentre around the College campus or use ourlibraries all at no extra cost. There will usually be two or three social or cultural events per week, on some afternoons Monday to Friday and all-day excursions at the weekend, if there is sufficient interest. All activities are optional and there will be a small charge for each. You will also haveaccess to Bradford Colleges sports centre at Trinity Green. There may be the opportunity to take the KET, PET, FCE and CAE exams in the summer, subject to sufficient interest.
