Citizenship is a subject which opens up new horizons for anyone interested in social sciences, in particular politics, criminology and law. We, as the Citizenship Team at Bradford College Centre for Academic Studies, focus on direct participation of our learners at the heart of our teaching. Our approach to Citizenship Studies differentiates us from other institutions delivering the same subject. Our approach will enable you to apply your theory to practical life; in the past, this has included events such as a visit to the European Parliament in Brussels and a Question Time with local MPs at the College. These innovative approaches resulted in our recognition as a Citizenship Champion Organisation by the Learning and Skills Improvement Services (LSIS) since 2005. This course is only available as part of the full time Humanities GCSEPathway that includes Mathematics, English, Media Studies, Psychology, Sociology and Citizenship.
