Patchwork & quilting - all levels

A wide variety of patchwork and quilting techniques will be included on the course, covering both traditional and contemporary methods and using both machine and hand stitching. You will learn how to measure, cut and assemble your fabrics, considering the use of colour and overall design impact, and learn decorative finishing techniques. Returning learners will develop knowledge of more complex techniques and will begin or continue work on an original quilt design.

Entry requirements

You will need to provide all materials for your personal project work. These include a basic sewing kit, fabrics, threads, and other materials which the Tutor will discuss at the first class. Overall costs will be dependant on the size and complexity of items produced. Specialist tools are provided for your use, and advice will be given as to where to purchase your own equipment should you wish to.
