Floristry - wedding & special occasion designs - beginners

This beginners level course will introduce you to a range of floral designs suitable for weddings and other special occasions such as parties and events including how to make buttonholes and corsages, bouquets, pomanders, and table decorations. It will cover the selection of fresh plant materials, conditioning methods, the use of a range of florist's sundries and materials and traditional and contemporary construction techniques including wiring, hand tying and using florist's foam.

Entry requirements

You will need to bring your own flowers & foliage for each session, in addition to some items of florist's materials that may not be covered by the basic fee. The approximate cost will be £10-£15 per week. You will also need a pair of strong scissors with sharp blades. All materials will either be discussed during the first session of the course, or you will be contacted in advance with a materials requirements list for the first session.
